Fire damages Crystal City site, Zavala County data centre of NFN8 Group

Dec 2025Published 2 Oct 2026

A published report says the Crystal City site, Zavala County data centre in Crystal City, Texas, United States operated by NFN8 Group, one of three sites leased by the operator, was damaged by a fire in the week between Christmas and New Year at the end of 2025. The company said mining capacity and revenue were halved and that it was seeking insurance payments, with the timing uncertain. The cause, the equipment involved, any injuries and the fire service response are not reported.

Not reported.

  1. A short public mention of a data centre fire should be treated as incomplete until the failed equipment, extent of damage and any casualties are confirmed.
  2. Operators should keep insurance and recovery timelines separate from claims about how much capacity was lost.
  3. Business filings can flag a site fire early, but they are not a substitute for an incident report.
