What happened
A fire broke out at a substation located at the intersection of Ring Road East and Du Plessis Road in Alberton, South Africa, on a Thursday afternoon. Business owners in the area reported hearing a loud explosion followed by smoke. Emergency services received a call at around 12.20pm and on arrival found the substation ablaze, with one of the cables burning.
