What happened
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a property fire involving the roof and first floor on Golf Links Road, Ferndown, on 12 May 2025. Crews used breathing apparatus, hose lines and an aerial ladder platform. The incident was scaled back and a stop was recorded at 5.22pm, with firefighters remaining to dampen down. No casualties were reported. The service said it believed the fire started accidentally and suspected that it started from solar panels.
