What happened
Unknown assailants broke into a solar power plant construction site in Moo 4, Ban Tha Phong, Talo Kapo subdistrict, Yaring district, Pattani province, Thailand. The Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Command said they entered from the rear of the facility operated by Gunkul Solar Power Generation Co., Ltd. and set fire to a storage area containing solar panels at 03:45 on 15 June 2026. Property damage was described as substantial. No injuries or deaths were reported. The 42nd Rangers Task Force secured the area, and local units set up checkpoints and roadblocks. An explosive ordnance disposal team and other agencies were called in to investigate.
