Fire at NTDC grid station disrupts supply in Lahore

A fire broke out at the National Transmission and Despatch Company's 220 kV grid station on Bund Road in Lahore on Sunday night after a power transformer caught fire. Power supply was suspended to many LESCO feeders, and several localities, including Sabzazar, Allama Iqbal Town, Shahpur, Qartaba Chowk, McLeod Road, Syedpur and Islampura, lost electricity. Fire brigade personnel and NTDC officials worked to bring the fire under control, but it had not been extinguished by the time of the report.
