Fire breaks out on ageing Vestas turbine in Denmark

Vestas said the site had been secured and the fire fully extinguished, with no injuries to people or animals recorded. Vestas, the turbine manufacturer, said it was at the site and had offered assistance to the owner in conducting a root cause investigation, and that it could not comment on or speculate about the cause until further findings were available. The machine was described by Vestas as a vintage turbine. Regional television station TV Midtvest broadcast images of the fire.
