In 2025 a fire was reported on a rooftop solar photovoltaic installation at a building near the coast in south-west England. Reporting indicates that the fire was attended by emergency responders. Only a headline level report is available, so the cause, the extent of damage, any injuries and the duration of the incident are not reported. The system size, ownership and building type are also not reported, and it is not known whether the fire originated in the modules, the cabling, the inverter equipment or another part of the roof structure.
