What happened
On 8 April 2014, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called at 12:08 to a reported fire involving solar panels at a ground installation in Bodmin. Two appliances and an officer were mobilised. On arrival, crews found electrical boxes and solar panel units on fire. They first liaised with an on-site specialist to isolate the electrical boxes, then extinguished the fire. The service said the fire was accidental and confined to the electrical boxes and solar panels. Injuries and the wider effect on the installation were not reported.
