What happened
Appliances from Bodmin and St Austell attended a solar farm transformer unit on fire on Copshorn Road, Bodmin. The unit was a shipping container measuring 6.5 metres long and was well alight on arrival. Western Power engineers and a representative of the solar company were present. Western Power and the solar contractor isolated power to the transformer. Fire crews remained on scene for over an hour and a half, allowing the structure to burn due to its safe and isolated location. The incident was left with a contractor on site.
