Cable fire briefly cuts supply in area served by Bahadurganj substation, Shahjahanpur

What happened

On 29 September 2026 a cable caught fire in a lane described as having three poles, in the area served by the Bahadurganj electrical substation in Shahjahanpur, India. An electricity corporation team repaired the cable. Supply there was off from about 19:00 to 19:30. The same report also described a fault the same afternoon on the Keruganj feeder from the Abdullaganj substation, and planned line work that evening near Vipin Enclave on the Chinor-Baibag feeder from the Nigohi Road substation. The cause of the cable fire, the extent of damage, and whether the fire was at the substation itself were not reported.
