What happened
A rooftop solar panel on a house off Route 8 in Sandisfield caught fire and continued to reignite several times. Firefighting crews from Sandisfield, Monterey, Otis and two Connecticut towns responded to the incident. The fire destroyed part of the roof and caused damage to the attic. No injuries were reported and damage inside the house was minimal. The cause remains under investigation. The call was received at 10:59 a.m. and the fire was knocked down in ten to fifteen minutes.
