Lessons learned
- Blasting and explosives work at a remote generation site needs a written plan, exclusion zones and a competent person in charge before work starts.
- Plan emergency medical access from a remote site before explosives are handled, because a second person was seriously injured.
- Preserve the scene and cooperate with the safety regulator and police while the cause is still under investigation.
