A fire was reported in Güveçli village, in the central district of Bingöl. The report says sparks from a transformer on an electricity pole were claimed to have started a fire in the surrounding area. Fire crews, villagers and teachers from a local school responded, and the fire was brought under control. An investigation into the cause was reported to have started.
Sparks were reported, as a claim, to have come from the pole-mounted transformer. The cause had not been confirmed.
