What happened
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said dispatch took a report of an explosion at the Industrial Park (2248 Avenue of Industries) in Corning at 2:18 p.m. on Wednesday. The report was published on 12 August 2026. A witness said a transformer had exploded in the power plant along Highway 34. The item was headlined as a substation explosion. No injuries were reported.
