What happened
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called at 3.18pm on 30 August 2023 to reports of a fire at a property on Warren Road, Woodingdean, Brighton. Crews reported that the fire was affecting solar panels on the roof of a nursing home. Five fire engines from Roedean, Preston Circus, Hove and Lewes attended, with an aerial ladder platform and an incident control unit. One main jet and one hydrant were in use. The fire was extinguished by 4.09pm. A full evacuation was completed and there were no reports of casualties. Sussex Police, SECAmb and Brighton and Hove City Council also attended. The cause was not stated.
