What happened
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service reported a fire involving solar PV on the roof of a two-storey apartment building at Puers Lane, Jordans, Beaconsfield. The building measured about 50 metres by 10 metres and the roof was fitted with solar panels. Four crews, an aerial appliance and two officers attended. On arrival they isolated the power supply and other utilities. The fire damaged two flats, and two further flats had water damage. The report does not say whether the panels started the fire or were themselves damaged. Crews were to remain on scene for an extended period.
