What happened
At 16:00 on 23 September 2026, firefighters from Ascoli attended a fire inside a cabin housing the transformer of a photovoltaic plant, between the localities of Rovecciano and San Barnaba in Offida. They extinguished the flames with foam, then used a thermal imaging camera to check that temperatures, which had reached very high peaks, were back below warning levels. Cooling and clean-up continued in the meantime.
