A fire was reported at an electricity substation on Southchurch Drive in the Clifton area of Nottingham at around 7.20pm on 22 September 2025. Two fire crews attended, and one crew remained at the scene, joined by National Grid workers. National Grid reported outages at 673 properties across Clifton, said the power cut was logged at 7.34pm, and estimated supply would be restored by about 9pm. The cause of the fire, the extent of equipment damage and the actual restoration time were not reported.
