What happened
A fire broke out at the Grave solar plant in Dudu, Rajasthan, India. A Hindi-language report from Dainik Bhaskar, published on 23 October 2026, states that the cause of the fire was not known at the time of reporting. The local fire service was called from Bagru and Kishangarh to attend the site. Police officers, including a senior police superintendent, also went to the scene. The report does not state when the fire started, how long it burned, how much of the plant was affected, whether anyone was hurt, or whether the fire has been brought under control.
The source is a short video report with limited written detail, so the extent of damage and the operating status of the plant remain unconfirmed.
Contributing factors
Not reported. The source describes the cause of the fire as unknown.
Lessons learned
- Solar sites should have a written fire response plan agreed with the local fire service, including site maps, access routes and water supply for appliances.
- Operators should record the time of detection, the isolation steps taken and the first observations at the site, so that the origin of a fire can be established even where the cause is not yet known.
- Operators should issue a short factual statement on the cause, extent and operating status of any fire, so that local communities, police and regulators receive clear and timely information.
