Transformer fire cuts power to shops in Efeler, Aydın

A fire broke out at a transformer in Hasanefendi-Ramazanpaşa Mahallesi, 23 Sokak, in the Efeler district of Aydın, Turkey. Fire crews attended and put the fire out quickly. Repair work then began on the damaged transformer. Supply to Umut and Sevgi Caddesi, known locally as Yağcılar İçi Çarşısı, was switched off so the work could be done safely. Some shopkeepers ran generators while the outage continued. Power was expected to return once the work was finished. The cause was not reported.
