A transformer fire was reported on a Monday evening near turbine number 2 in an under-construction unit at the DVC KTPS thermal power plant in Jaynagar, Koderma. Two fire engines attended and brought the fire under control after sustained effort. The report said the fire was stopped before it reached nearby equipment or other parts of the plant. No casualties were reported, and the premises were later described as normal. The cause had not been established, and plant management was investigating.
