Large fire at Blossom solar farm draws several fire departments

On or about 28 December 2022, fire crews fought a large fire at the solar farm at 1900 FM 196, south of Blossom, Texas. The Faught Volunteer Fire Department sent a tanker and two booster trucks to assist the Blossom Fire Department. Pattonville, East Post Oak, Reno, Deport, Powderly and Hopewell volunteer fire departments, and the Texas Forest Service, also responded. The cause had not been determined, and no further information on damage, injuries or the equipment involved was immediately available.
