What happened

On 9 April 2019, an Energy Fiji Limited transformer blew in Dilkusha, and thousands of people in Nakasi and Davuilevu Housing were still without power. Energy Fiji Limited said technical staff were working on the fault and gave no time for restoration. The same report also described a separate outage in Koronivia, Nausori, after a feeder tripped, with no time given for supply to return. The cause, and whether anyone was hurt, were not reported.
