What happened
On 20 August 2023, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a reported fire in the 5800 block of Lone Tree Way, Antioch. Crews found solar panels on fire on a small portion of the roof of Office Depot. PetSmart and Office Depot were evacuated, and the fire was knocked down. PG&E was requested to the scene. Both stores had damage, including water damage. The same report later said Office Depot had significant damage and would stay closed until repairs were made, and that PetSmart was temporarily evacuated. The cause was not reported, and injuries to people were not stated.
