A fire was reported at around 8.30am on 19 August 2020 at a substation operated by Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) in Sector 148, Greater Noida, India. Police said the fire involved a transformer at the substation, and transformers were reported to have been damaged. Fire engines attended and firefighting operations were under way; the blaze had not been brought under control at the time of reporting. Blackouts were reported in areas near Sector 148, and the substation was reported to supply electricity to the Noida Metro. No injuries were reported.
