On 22 September 2026, a fire at a Comisión Federal de Electricidad substation was reported to have caused a power cut in several areas of Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. Staff from the Comisión Federal de Electricidad and firefighters attended and worked to control the fire. The operator later said supply had been restored to all affected users. The report does not name the substation, the cause, any injuries, or how long the outage lasted.
