Wind turbine fire sparks grass fire near Weatherford

Oklahoma Forestry Services, as reported by KOKH, said a wind turbine two miles south of Weatherford, Oklahoma, caught fire on 28 March 2018 and threw sparks that started a grass fire. The grass fire grew to about five acres before eight fire engines contained it. The report does not name the wind farm or the turbine make, does not give a cause, and does not say whether anyone was hurt or how badly the turbine was damaged.
The cause of the turbine fire was not reported. The only mechanism described is sparks from the burning turbine reaching dry grass.
